AGILE TRANSFORMATION

Waterfall-to-Agile Transformation

Business challenge

The automation team needed to move from a traditional Waterfall delivery approach to a more adaptive operating model. Changing business priorities, evolving automation opportunities, and dependencies across stakeholders required greater transparency, flexibility, and continuous delivery.

Role & responsibilities

I planned the team's transition from Waterfall to Scrum, helping establish the new delivery model, working practices, and governance structure. Following the transition, I took on the Product Owner role, managing backlog priorities, aligning stakeholders, and supporting ongoing delivery.

Technologies & approach

The transformation introduced structured backlog management, Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, clearer work-item definitions, and consistent delivery documentation. Business priorities, technical dependencies, and expected value were incorporated into planning and prioritization decisions. The operating model continued to evolve through practical delivery experience.

Business impact

The transformation established a more structured and transparent approach to delivering automation initiatives. Across my Scrum delivery experience, I have worked through 47 sprints, connecting business priorities with implementation activities and supporting the continuous delivery of automation solutions.
